First, nice pick of an article that can relate to anyone, even with different political views. You have a strong thesis that is well supported by three techniques of DIDLS. "Your use of quotes helps to strenthen your response, but one thing that could make it even stringer would be a little less repition. Although you are trying to restae your thesis, It seems a little redundant the way you keep mentioning that the siuation seems hopeless. Perhaps add a little more comentary, on how the author uses the techniques to seem hopeless.
